Through secure, real-time connectivity, NAVIX technologists remotely operate MRI scanner consoles while on-site teams focus on patient care and safety.

As this service line continues to expand, NAVIX is seeking a senior clinical leader to help build, scale, and oversee the program. The Lead Remote MRI Technologist plays a critical role in shaping the clinical foundation of Remote MRI Services while serving as the subject matter expert, trainer, and clinical authority across the organization.

What We’re Looking For in a Lead Remote MRI Technologist

NAVIX Diagnostix is seeking an experienced Lead Remote MRI Technologist to serve as the clinical subject matter expert and program leader for our Remote MRI Services initiative.

This role blends hands-on clinical expertise with program development, training, and cross-functional leadership. The Lead Remote MRI Technologist is responsible for helping design and refine the remote MRI business model, developing clinical protocols and SOPs, supporting sales and client education efforts, training internal and external teams, supervising execution across sites, and personally supporting complex MRI examinations as the program ramps.

The ideal candidate brings deep MRI expertise, experience with advanced and complex imaging (including cardiac MRI), a strong training and mentoring background, and the credibility to represent NAVIX clinically with clients, partners, and internal leadership.

Essential Job Responsibilities 

Clinical Leadership & Expertise

  • Serve as the primary clinical subject matter expert for NAVIX’s Remote MRI Services program
  • Remotely operate MRI scanner consoles and execute advanced imaging protocols as needed to support clinical operations
  • Personally support and perform complex MRI examinations, including cardiac MRI and other advanced imaging applications, particularly during program ramp-up or challenging clinical scenarios
  • Review MRI images for quality, completeness, and protocol adherence; provide coaching and feedback to ensure consistency and diagnostic excellence
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and clinical escalation support to Remote MRI Technologists and on-site teams

Program Development & Execution

  • Help develop and refine the clinical and operational business model for Remote MRI Services
  • Design, standardize, and maintain MRI protocols, SOPs, workflows, and clinical standards for remote operations
  • Support the setup, launch, and expansion of new remote MRI sites, including clinical readiness assessments and go-live support
  • Partner with operations, IT, and vendor teams to support secure connectivity, system configuration, and workflow optimization

Training, Education & Supervision

  • Lead the development and delivery of training programs for MRI safety technologists, Remote MRI Technologists, and on-site clinical partners
  • Create and maintain training materials, workflow guides, and clinical documentation
  • Mentor, supervise, and provide ongoing clinical oversight to Remote MRI Technologists to ensure safe and consistent execution across sites

Collaboration & Representation

  • Partner with radiologists, operations leadership, and clinical teams to support diagnostic quality and patient safety
  • Participate in sales discussions, client meetings, and implementation presentations as a clinical representative for Remote MRI Services
  • Educate clients and internal stakeholders on remote MRI workflows, safety considerations, and clinical capabilities

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure adherence to MRI safety standards, HIPAA, OSHA, and NAVIX policies
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain certifications and clinical expertise 
Minimum Qualifications 

Education

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required

Certifications / Licensure

  • Current ARRT (MR) certification required
  • State licensure as applicable based on the jurisdiction where imaging studies are performed
  • Additional ARRT certifications preferred
  • MRSO (Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer) certification preferred or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe

Experience

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive MRI technologist experience required
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced MRI protocols, complex imaging, and clinical problem-solving
  • Experience with cardiac MRI or other advanced MRI applications strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in training, mentoring, clinical supervision, or program development required
  • Experience supporting multiple sites or innovative MRI service models preferred

Work Environment
