Vascular Ultrasound Program Leadership & Faculty

Ann Marie Kupinski, PhD, RVT, FSVU, is Educational Coordinator and Instructor for NAVIX's physician and technologist training programs. She is also the President and Co-technical Director of North Country Vascular Diagnostics, a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at Albany Medical College, a member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, a senior member of the AIUM. Dr. Kupinski has lectured extensively and published multiple publications. She has been a RVT since 1986 and became registered in abdominal scanning (RDMS-AB) in 2008. Dr. Kupinski received her Ph.D. in Physiology in 1996 from Albany Medical College.

Angela Rodriguez-Wong, MD, RVT, RPVI, Lead Instructor for NAVIX, has nearly 20 years experience in non-invasive vascular ultrasound. Dr. Rodriguez-Wong obtained her vascular registry through the ARDMS in 1995. She has extensive experience working in mobile services, hospital laboratories, and physician practices. Dr. Rodriguez-Wong has been a member of the SVU since 1994, and has authored several original research papers. She has consulted and taught at many prestigious institutions, including Mount Sinai Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Medical Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Francis Porreca, MD, FACS, RPVI, is the Weiler Director of the Division of Vascular Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Porreca is also the Medical Director of the Eastern Vascular Diagnostic Center.

Keith Calligaro, MD, is Chief of Vascular Surgery, Director of the Vascular Surgery Fellowship, and Director of Medical Student Vascular Rotations at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed his general surgery training in Chicago in 1987 and his vascular surgery fellowship under one of the premier vascular surgeons in the country at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein Medical Center in New York in 1989. He has been performing complex vascular surgery and vascular balloon angioplasty and stenting at Pennsylvania Hospital since he began his career. Dr. Calligaro has been intimately involved in national and regional academic vascular societies throughout his career. He served as President of the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, one of two national vascular societies, in 2008, and as President of the Eastern Vascular Society, the largest of five regional vascular societies in the country, in 2009. Dr. Calligaro specializes in minimally invasive treatment of carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, and varicose veins.
